In Nepal most of the poor people work on the land, making long days and they have to leave their kids at home during the day. Sometimes these kids are very young, less then five years old, and the oldest brother or sister has to leave school to look after them. If you want to volunteer with children younger than five years, you will find yourselves working in primary school facilities or child care centers, where you can supervise or support the care, education and activities provided for these children.

Skill/Qualification

There is no specific qualification needed to join the orphanage volunteer project. However, volunteers are expected to be flexible and patient. You should have a passion and love for children.

Volunteers responsibilities:

As a volunteer in the child care centre, you will teach English in the centre and you will help kids to stay clean and teach them personal hygiene. In your free time, you can organize games, drawing, singing, dancing, and other creative education and extra curricular activities.
